Interacting systems and wormholes

A bstract We consider a class of tripartite systems for which two d -dimensional QFTs are cross-coupled via third + 1-dimensional “messenger” QFT. analyse in detail the example pair one-dimensional matrix quantum mechanics) coupled two­dimensional theory BF-type and compute its partition function simple correlators. This construction is extendible higher dimensions) using Chern-Simons theory. In all such examples, exact acquires form, speculated to correspond dual Euclidean wormholes cross correlators sufficiently soft consistent with analogous gravitational calculations. Another variant system studied, where messenger described by non-self-interacting (matrix)-field, reaching similar conclusions. While theories we perfectly consistent, possible analytic continuations into Lorentzian signature (messenger vs. boundary QFT directions) models, reveal physical features “pathologies” resembling those expected backgrounds.
